2009 Varsity Knights
STMC Football:
The football program at Saint Thomas More is very strong throughout the school, nurturing both the elite athlete and enthusiastic participant. Saint Thomas More football has established a reputation for excellence in football winning a total of 19 provincial championships. Our coaches work hard to create an environment that supports and encourages high achievement in athletics and academic work within our Catholic faith community. We strive to provide our student athletes with the resources necessary to compete to the full extent of their ability and to enjoy each aspect of their experience.

Bernie Kully, the Head Varsity Football Coach, is pleased to announce the addition of Brian Higgins to the Knights' Varsity coaching roster. Brian will be the Offensive Coordinator next season. Brian, a grad of 1968, is returning home to his alma mater after spending decades coaching for community, high school and university teams. He is a welcome addition to the coaching staff.

2010 Spring Football Key Dates:
Please be proactive with attendance and participation.
Parents and families are invited and encouraged to attend all practices, 7 on 7 games and the scrimmage on June 9.

Four STMC Varsity Knights commit to local Universities:
Four of Saint Thomas More’s grade 12’s have committed to play football at Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia. J.R. Morales has committed to SFU and will play defensive back for the Clan. Sabdeep Sidhu, Jordan Bosa and Jake Woodson have chosen to attend UBC and will suit up for their football team next season. Sabdeep will play on the defensive line, Jordan defensive back and Jake will play linebacker. JR will join Marc Deslauriers (Grad of 2005) at SFU. Jake, Sabdeep and Jordan join Sam Carino (Grad of 2006) at UBC.
