A VERY BIG THANK YOU to everyone who attended and donated to the STMC Parent's Association Dinner Auction. All guests during the evening had a fun and entertaining time, and the group that attended made the event one of the most successful ever.
This year the grand total raised was $47,000! This is an increase of over $10,000 from last year's auction!
The funds raised will be used to assist in resurfacing the running track at the school. We just need to raise a little more funds and then the work can begin.
Next year is the 50th anniversary of the school and the dinner auction will be a special one, but we need some new volunteers to oversee it. Some of the auction committee either have children graduating or are moving on to volunteer elsewhere within the school. At present the positions available are: Chair, Donations & Solicitations, Marketing & Promotions, Treasurer, Dinner & Raffle Ticket Sales and Co-Decorator. Keep in mind that each committee head forms their team, if necessary, for the job at hand. If you have the desire to assist (and have a great time in doing so), please forward your name to Tracy Sawatzky. Ideally, this new committee should be appointed by the end of the school year considering all energies need to be focused on event planning for the next gala come September.
