Newsletter from Auction Committee
Dear Parents;
We are, once again, excited to put on this fabulous event/fundraiser for the school community and we, the committee, are all working hard to make it a successful event. We trust everyone has received the mail out last month informing them of all the particulars of the upcoming Dinner Auction. If you haven't, please refer to the school website.
The committee is now requesting:
1. Donations to be brought in sooner than later (deadline being Dec. 18, 2009) so the volunteers working behind the scenes can get organized. Please ensure all forms are completely filled in with all necessary information for catalogue and bidding sheet purposes.
2. May we suggest and encourage families to pitch in together and buy items as a group such as larger electronic items. We also encourage parents of the school to ask those professionals they frequent often such as chiropractors, massage therapists, hairdressers, restaurants, hotels etc., to donate a session/voucher/gift certificate. Again, if you need a covering letter and donation form to solicit these professionals, they can be downloaded off STMC website.
3. Get your early bird ticket orders in by end of November for a discount and to ensure those people buying tables of 10 can get one (a few tables of 12 are available). Order tickets from Gwen Harder at stmcdinnerauction@hotmail.com. A table of 10 purchased before November 30 costs $900, after that date it is $1000.00
On a different note we are looking for people to fill the following important committee positions for next year, which are:
1. Chairperson for the Auction Committee next year. If you are organized, like working with people and have a flare for event planning, please contact Tracy Sawatzky at tracysawatzky@shaw.ca
2. Leader and organizer of Donations & Solicitations Committee for next year. If you like being involved in the community, soliciting and collecting gifts from local businesses, parents & alumni, preparing and presenting them for the auction, please contact Tonya Morris at tmorris_rd@hotmail.com.
