Adrian Jankovic recently won the Croatian Cultural Centre scholarship of $1000. He was one of 18 recipients in the province of BC and his essay was the (only) one chosen to be read out at the scholarship presentation; on "Croatia, my priceless heritage." His brother Fabian won last year. They are the only set of brothers (or family members in general) to have both won these scholarships, in their 33 year history of awards.

There is talk that some districts are cutting back available spaces. Each district will be different so it would be wise to inquire what will be available in your district.
It seems that some districts may cut back on spaces for those who need a credit because they have failed a course. I know that you do not have final marks yet, but if your child is in danger of failing a course and would require summer school to gain credit for it,

We have two students and one staff member who have severe allergic reactions to all forms of nuts, especially peanuts. It is a life threatening situation if they are exposed to any nut oil residue (through shaking hands or touching a surface like a door handle), or through the breath of someone who has eaten nuts. In order to ensure a safe environment for them we must be a nut free school. I am asking that any food that contains nuts in whole, in part, or contains any traces of nuts, not be brought to the school. Please encourage your children

We have 22 priests coming for that celebration and they will also be given a private viewing of the Man of the Shroud Exhibit. The school day would end at regular time. In the end, the students will still have four blocks of classes as scheduled but with the 5th block being used for the Year of the Priest
