Varsity Football Training Camp Information:

Training Camp begins on Wednesday August 25.

Key dates to mark on your calendar.

1. Wednesday, August 25, Thursday, August 26 and Friday August 27
• Practices from 9 AM- 11 AM.

2. Monday, August 30th - Friday, September 3rd 9:00 - 11:00
• Morning Practice

3. Monday, August 31st - Thursday, September 2nd 12:30 - 2:30
• Afternoon Practice

Just a reminder:

Your post-dated tuition fee cheque dated for August 1, 2010 for school year 2010-11 will be deposited on August 3, 2010.

There are still a few spots available for the basketball camps.

Grade 11 Knights Carlo Dalupang and Ross Hilliam have been selected to Team BC's roster. For the first time since 2000, British Columbia is returning to the Football Canada Cup with an under-18 team. The 2010 Football Canada Cup takes place July 10th-17th at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Football BC announced the list of 40 players that have been offered a roster spot on the provincial under-18 team (Team BC) that will represent British Columbia at the 2010 Football Canada Cup to be held at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia from July 10 - 17, 2010. Adrian Jankovic recently won the Croatian Cultural Centre scholarship of $1000. He was one of 18 recipients in the province of BC and his essay was the (only) one chosen to be read out at the scholarship presentation; on "Croatia, my priceless heritage." His brother Fabian won last year. They are the only set of brothers (or family members in general) to have both won these scholarships, in their 33 year history of awards.

Congrats to Grade 9 Giovanni Trasolini who was selected to the British Columbia U-15 Boys Basketball Team. He will be competing at the National Championships in Winnipeg later this summer. Check www.basketball.bc.ca to follow his progress. Good luck Gio!

We would like to let you know that St Thomas More will be hosting two weeks of Basketball Camps this August. The Younger Knights Camp (open to boys and girls entering grades 4 to 6) will be during the week of August 16-20 in the morning. The Future Knights Camp (open to athletes entering grades 7 and 8) will also be during the week of August 16-20 in the afternoon. Our High School Camp will be in the August 23-27 week and is open to all athletes entering grade 9 to 12.

Hello Parents!

As you start sifting through your garages and basements for Garage Sale items, please keep the STMC Christmas Craft Fair in mind.

We would most welcome your donations of baskets, Christmas ribbon and ornaments. Our used book sale is always in need of pocket books, novels, and children's books. (no text books or encyclopedia's please). We will even take old music CD's and DVD's off your hands!
